Corporate Watch is a research and training group that helps people stand up against corporate power.

We investigate exploitative bosses, landlords and property developers, and companies profiting from prisons, deportation flights, animal exploitation and ecological devastation – as well as the wider systems of power and profit they work within.

At the heart of everything we do is our idea of “information for action”. We know that people can fight and win, even against powerful enemies like corporations and governments. Good information helps to understand the forces we’re up against, spot their weaknesses, and so campaign effectively.

What we do:

  • Targeted research for grassroots campaign groups, e.g. profiling a particular company, digging into its accounts, uncovering scandals, finding weak points. Learn more here.

  • Broader research and analysis into how capitalism works, issues and news. Check out our publications.

  • DIY training and resources to spread these research skills to many more people; this includes bespoke training to groups and organisations.

See here for case studies illustrating the work we do and its impact.

We are anti-capitalist (read more about what we mean by capitalism here), and we don’t work with any political parties or government organisations.

We are organised as a workers’ co-operative. We don’t make a profit, but members and contributors do get paid for their work.

Friends of Corporate Watch help keep us going so we can continue to produce free, independent research and training to support those taking action for radical social change. Please consider donating or setting up a standing order to sustain grassroots projects like ours.

We are also grateful for the support of the following grant-making bodies:
